Customer Testimonials

  • One of the absolute highlights of our five month trip in South America. This company was recommended by a friend and we have since recommended to at least ten different people. You take a 3 hour drive to where the boats are and this allows you to meet your group. Then its about another 3 hour trip down the river in a long road where our guide pointed out a huge number of animals, caiman, turtles, birds and snakes. Really amazing. I think the difference between Indigena and the other operators is the food provided and the level of English spoken by the guide. We were hugely impressed with boat. Also on the trip you go searching for Anacondas, go fishing for piranha and go on a night trip on the boat. Best trip we have done in our nearly 10 months travel so far.

  • We were picked up in the morning and drove with a jeep to santa clara (takes about 3 h) were we had lunch. Than we got into the boats, our group just consisting of four people! Our guide showed us different plants an animals in the trees passing by. In the evening we arrived in our lodge, where we got plenty of good food and were able to chill in nice hammocks or go for a swim. The next two days we searched for snakes on an island, went piranha fishing, swimming with dolphins, sunset - and sunrise watching, always accompanied with our lovely and english speaking guide. Thank you very much, Indigena!

  • I can not recommend this company enough! They made every part of our tour easy and enjoyable. We were with Antonio who was so knowledgeable and interesting. The people working at the lodge catered for our every need and were so kind and understanding. The jeep was about 2.5 hours over pretty bumpy terrain but once we got to the boat it was magical and we were able to see so many cool species. Once we arrived at the lodge we couldn’t believe how luxury it was! It looked brand new- all so clean and modern with mosquito nets and terraces with hammocks overlooking the lake. The activities over the 3 days were 10/10- we were never bored or unsatisfied. Fishing was so much fun and we loved searching for anacondas! Swimming with the dolphins wasn’t too successful because they go shy in dry season, but apart from that it was the best!!
